How High School Math Tutoring Works
Tutoring begins with a clear understanding of the student’s course, current performance, and academic goals. From there, I provide focused instruction that develops as the student’s needs and coursework change.

Assess Current Needs
During the initial consultation, I speak with the parent and student about the current course, recent performance, areas of difficulty, upcoming exams, and academic goals. Families may also share assignments, assessments, or course materials.
Step 2
Build a Focused Tutoring Plan
I develop a plan around the student’s immediate priorities and longer term goals. This may include filling skill gaps, supporting current lessons, preparing for assessments, or getting ready for more advanced coursework.
Step 3
Tutor, Monitor, and Adjust
Students meet with me one on one over Zoom using a virtual whiteboard, screen sharing, saved notes, and interactive practice. I monitor understanding and adjust each session as new material, assignments, and assessments arise.

Yes. I help students prepare for the Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II Regents exams. Tutoring can include content review, practice with official style questions, written work, test strategy, and pacing.
Do you tutor AP math courses?
Yes. I provide support for AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. Sessions can support the course throughout the school year, preparation for the AP exam, or both.
